Can you wear your hair straight?

We get asked this question a lot during extension consultations… The answer is most often yes but sometimes there are a few exceptions. 

The only time it doesn’t always work is is you have tons of shorter layers on top that you’re trying to grow out. Or if you have a lot of hair density in those shorter layers. (I’ve seen some clients with finer hair density pull off the straight look even with shorter layers because it can blend in). 

Often times the more layers or more hair density, the more rows you’ll need in order for the extensions to blend. ✅ 

In those cases, it may be necessary to wear texture/wave/curl in your hair in order for your layers to blend in with your extensions until your shorter layers grow out. 🌱 

The beauty of wearing these extensions is that your hair will require less frequent styling. With a little TLC (Olaplex, regular trims, less heat styling) those layers will grow out and then you can celebrate by wearing your hair straight! 🎉
